The Harlequin hosts its second annual LGBT Film Festival

The Harlequin Theatre is delighted to announce our Second annual LGBT Film Festival!

The Over the Rainbow Film festival will be taking place from 24th August – 30th August 2015 with screening of past and present classic LGBT films.

A full schedule of films will be announced shortly and details will be available on our website and from the box office.

This year has seen a complete diversification of the on screen offerings available at the Harlequin Theatre. The advent of event cinema has seen The Harlequin form partnerships with RSC, National Theatre, Bolshoi Ballet, English National Opera and given us the opportunity to show one off theatre productions including Maxine Peake as Hamlet.

Our film offering has also increased, with screenings of documentaries and an increase to our Saturday Morning Cinema Club shows and a wider variety of “second screenings” and “another chance to see” add this to our free WW1 cinema season and a clear increase in variety is clear for all to see.

“We are proud to be able to offer such a wide variety of cinematic options for our customers, and we’re delighted to be able to announce our second annual LGBT festival! The Harlequin Theatre and Cinema is committed to providing  a high standard of entertainment to the community and being able to dove tail that commitment with supporting the LGBT film genre is an opportunity that makes us proud to be a part of the entertainment industry!” – Elizabeth Smith, Theatre Manager
