The Harlequin takes part in Living & Ageing Well Week
This week saw The Harlequin taking part for the very first time in the Reigate & Banstead Living and Ageing Well Week. As part of a week-long programme of activities hosted across leisure and community centres in the area, it offered something for everyone this year. The Harlequin opened up its doors to cinema goers and film lovers for two days, offering them the chance to come and enjoy two fabulous films for just £2.50 with complementary slices of fresh cake and a cup of tea or coffee.
The screening featured the hilariously witty and funny ‘The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel’ staring Judi Dench, Bill Nighy and Maggie Smith and ‘Quartet’, with comedy legend Billy Connolly set at a home for retired musicians.
The Harlequin was host to keen cinema fans; creating a ‘buzz’ inside the building as Ageing Well Week partakers socialised, enjoyed their refreshments and met new people from the community before the film.
