Auditions for the lost boys

Paul Holman Associates and the Harlequin Theatre, Redhill are seeking boy actors to play the roles of John Darling, Michael Darling and the Lost Boys, in their 2017 production The Pantomime Adventures of Peter Pan.

All applicants must be enthusiastic, confident, disciplined and have clear speaking voices with some singing and dancing ability. Boys aged between 9 and 15 may apply, and should not exceed 5 feet 7 inches in height. Michael is the youngest and smallest of the brothers with an ideal playing age of 7 – 8 years, while John, his older brother has an ideal playing age of 12 – 14. John and Michael will be required to fly in the production so should not have a fear of heights.

Auditions will be held at the Harlequin Theatre in Redhill on Sunday 10th September, with registration at 10am.


Auditions for girls

We are looking for girls aged no older than 12 on the date of the audition and no younger than 9 years on the first day of rehearsals with a maximum height of 4 feet 11 inches. Applicants must be a minimum of Grade 1 standard ISTD (or equivalent) modern, ballet and tap. Every child must have a female relative over the age of 21 years who is willing to obtain a chaperone license and chaperone the shows on a rota basis. Please note if siblings are in the show there will be a heavier commitment to this.

Auditions will be held at the Harlequin Theatre, Redhill on Sunday 10th September, registration will start at 1pm and the audition starts at 2pm. Children who are recalled may be at the theatre for 2 – 3 hours so please ensure they have drinks with them and relevant shoes and dance wear.


Parental/Guardian consent and availability 

All children attending auditions must be accompanied by a parent/ guardian who will need to sign a parental permission form on the day of the audition to agree participation and media coverage. If the child is not attending with their own parent/ guardian, then the form can be obtained by e-mailing Jenny Elsden, Children’s Co-ordinator for PHA at The signed form must be brought along on the day or auditions. 

Successful children must be available for the whole of the rehearsal and performance period from Monday 27th November to Sunday 31st December. They should also live and go to school within a maximum of a 30 minute travelling distance of the Harlequin Theatre. There may be some weekend rehearsals scheduled prior to the rehearsal period which are to be confirmed.


Further information 

This year the stars of the pantomime include Hairy Biker Dave Myers as Captain Hook, alongside Redhill’s returning favourites Neil Wheatley, Simon Bashford and Abigail Welford. David Luke returns to play the title role of Peter Pan.
